Prophetic Summer School? No way!!

18 June 2019

storm on the horizon

Trusted God and took a moment to give a prophetic word for this season.  If you’d rather read it than watch the video (below) I’ll do my best to recreate the moment in the attached article – Hoping I don’t get too lengthy. I shot this picture at least an hour or two prior to the video.

So, there is a small shower on the horizon. I actually took a pic of it at sun rise this morning and caught the full moon with it when it was still many, many miles away. As the shower moved closer to me I didn’t know it. There was no thunder or lightening, just a blanket cloud that stretches 20-30 or so miles across my region. Suddenly I had a ‘nudge’ in my spirit, stopped doing what I was doing and went to a spot at the farm that I rely on to see for miles and miles – the west facing ridge.

Prophetic unctions rely on feelings a lot. That’s why emotions have to be well trained and disciplined by God’s Word to act appropriately when a ‘vibe’ occurs. With balanced emotions the ability to process supernatural knowledge correctly provides the appropriate action if one is needed. In short, it is taking the time to understand the reverence for God’s abilities through us as being key to real encounters with Him.

Prophetic words that are not subdued by God’s statutes (rules) can cause grief. Do I feel like God has subdued His Word in me? Why yes, yes I do. Being ordained to prophesy is another matter altogether and not up for discussion here, but, if you’re wondering – I am a seer (a dreamer), not a prophet. There is a difference. How do I know? May be I will get into that one day, just not today.

Back to this morning…

As I took in the landscape I felt the calmness of the season that had settled in and had a knowing this would be a season of going to summer school. Even though some of us just had what felt like spiritual graduation ceremonies, or births or a ‘something new’ moment, I’ve had this knowing for about a week that this is where the real nurturing/work begins.

When we imaging Jesus, is He so Orthodox that He never smiles or is His countenance full of sorrow or scorn? Who wants to get to know that Jesus? no one!!! Does Jesus carry this gavel in His hand like the men thought He should have when they threw an adulterous at His feet and demanded He cast their judgments on her in the form of stones? (John 8:1-11)

Jesus is not the condemner of this earth, we alone are the determiners of our fate, not Jesus. He is the light, the way and the truth, (John 14:6) He can not believe for us, sorry, we are the owners of our own free will.

The spiritual characters of Jesus are impeccably virtuous and not once have I read a scripture of Him using His position irresponsibly.

To learn the ways of Jesus requires practice and testing. Not saying this selfishly, but I suppose that’s another reason I blog – it keeps me in practice daily. I’ve experienced the effects of slumbering as a Christian and can attest that it creates an unnecessary weariness and spiritual purpose becomes ambiguous or elusive.

As I scanned the landscape this morning and watched the small storm approach, I had a knowing that the time had come for the body of Christ to go back to school and learn a few things about their selves and God. ‘It’s a season of being discipled’ was the exact unction.

May be it’s because of Liberty Road I feel this unction you might ask? I really don’t think so. This is the first time I’ve felt this type of shift in 10 years or more. This is more like OK… the baby is here.. now what…. NURTURE IT, MOMMA/DADDY!!!!!

In the video I mentioned feeling restoration in the atmosphere. Restoration comes when we individually open our minds and hearts to being nurtured by truths. I also had a ‘check’ in my spirit about reconciliations among others if needed, but wasn’t certain about it.

May be this is not so much a time to be on the playground with others, but more like in a classroom setting with others or a mentor relationship or possibly a person that provides a checks and balance system. It’s never a bad time to pair up with a trusted partner in discovery journeys.

You know how there are individual desks in a classroom and if you’re a student your job is to be quiet and learn? This is that kind of season I’m sensing we’re going into but it’s a really quick season.

So – open your ears and your heart and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you about yourself through the bible, but also through others and through hidden ‘signs’ God sends to you specifically each day. It’s not about 24/7 meditation, it’s about allowing moments to teach you and grow you into spiritual champions of faith.

Sometimes the truth about yourself can expose harsh realities. If you are lazy, then you’re unreliable. If you’re not honest, then you’re a thief of the truth. We’re just in that season of exposure and purification. Guilt is just not a ‘trendy’ things right now, so throw it out so that you’re not hindered to take an honest look at your soul’s condition.

There is a harvest coming. Not this season. But it is indeed coming. If you’re reading this then you’re already feeling the shifts in the Spirit. Let us not forget to pray for God to send more laborers because laborers are too few in number and the harvest is great!!! Matthew 9:37-38

It’s always ‘in-season’ to reprove your position in your faith.

It’s not that God wants us to have a dull, rigid life, NO! Not at all, He desires us to have a whole and complete life, the intended version of human life – by His design.

This is just one of the scriptures that can be applied to the prophetic summer school we’ve starting. Even Paul insisted we continue learning about our identities in God.

2Ti 3:10  But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
2Ti 3:11  Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
2Ti 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.  (SORRY!! You’re just going to have tough days, there’s no question)
2Ti 3:13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
2Ti 3:14  But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
2Ti 3:15  And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Happy learning! I am always available through email should you have a comment or question.

Warm regards,   W
