2 Ch 20:17 (ESV) “You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the LORD will be with you.”
Godly humility is really all about position. Just look at the behaviors associated with it: gratitude, respect, service focused, hard working, great listener, submits to truthful authority and is a restorer of dignity.
Kindness that displays respect and gratitude goes a long ways in establishing peace in just about every situation one could encounter in a day.
True humility submits to love, truth, compassion, determination, relational ties and ownership of who it is. This attribute of God in us is very much the same as parents encouraging children, bosses leading employees, siblings helping siblings, etc.
Ask yourself if there are times when your love might be positioned wrong. Example: Should you be parental when you’re being childish? Or, it could be something like this: Do you recognize the value of your mentoring role as a leader?
Today: Dwell on your individualism. God created you different because you are a ‘role’ to play in the big motion picture.
