30/49: Truthful Humility

Matthew 11:19 ESV  The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.”

Know who you are so when others say you are things you are not you can stand firm in the truth that you are who God has positioned you to be.

Real humility never has to defend its actions in service. False humility submits to the lie of ‘don’t rock the boat’ when faced with the challenge to stand up for righteousness for the sake of truth and justice.

This character expresses how we view of ourselves as compared to God. It is also the character that directly influences our opinions of others.

How to measure where you place yourself… Ask questions like –
How do I think God views me? Do I see Him work through me? Do I limit my development of this character by being selective in my service?

Today – Just be yourself. Especially in the awkward moments, draw from the truth that your humility gives you the power to be someone’s superhero.
